Nel secolo scorso la vocazione industriale di Pontassieve era nelle ciminiere, nelle sirene che fendevano l’aria fredda del mattino. Le fabbriche erano fumo, polvere, ma anche il pane e il lavoro per una popolazione che le credeva immortali.

Ora, a distanza di anni, ci è rimasta la memoria e la consapevolezza di aver attraversato un’epoca in cui la storia ci passava davanti. E cosa c’è di meglio che riviverla, la storia, attraverso i documenti e le cose di tutti i giorni? Oggetti comuni, da poco, anche oscuri e troppo presto dimenticati.

Un gruppo di persone si è messo in testa un’idea quasi impossibile, far rivivere il sapore di una nostalgia troppo tardi percepita per celebrarne il durante. Un’idea meravigliosa, tutta da riscoprire e forse da rimpiangere.

WHO WE ARE

In the last century, Pontassieve's industrial vocation lay in its smokestacks, in the sirens that cut through the cold morning air. The factories were smoke, dust, but also bread and work for a population that believed them immortal.

Now, years later, we are left with the memory and awareness of having lived through an era in which history passed us by. And what could be better than reliving it, history, through documents and everyday objects? Common objects, small, even obscure and too quickly forgotten.

A group of people came up with an almost impossible idea: to revive the flavor of a nostalgia perceived too late to celebrate its duration. A wonderful idea, to be rediscovered and perhaps regretted.
